By accessing or using Bookstaken's online reading comprehension platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service
Bookstaken provides online reading comprehension sessions for children aged 8-11 through:
- Live interactive reading circles and single 1:1 sessions with trained mentors
- Small group discussions (maximum 4 children per session)
- Progress tracking and parent reporting
- Educational content and activities
3. Account Registration and Eligibility
Account Requirements:
- Parent/guardian must be 18 years or older
- Only one account per family
- Accurate information must be provided during registration
- Parents are responsible for maintaining account security
Child Eligibility:
- Children can be between 8-11 years old
- Parental consent required for participation
- Children must be able to read independently at basic level
4. Subscription and Payment Terms
Subscription Plans:
- Free Trial: 7 days with full access to all features
- Monthly Plan: ₹999/month, cancel anytime with 7 days notice
Payment Terms:
- All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR)
- Payments processed securely through third-party providers
- Automatic renewal unless cancelled
- No refunds for partial months (except our 30-day guarantee)
Free Trial:
- No payment required to start
- Billing begins after 7-day trial unless cancelled
- Cancel anytime during trial with no charges
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation:
- Cancel subscription anytime with 7 days written notice
- Email cancellation requests to support@bookstaken.com
- Access continues until end of current billing period
- No partial refunds for unused time
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee:
- If not satisfied within 30 days of paid subscription, request full refund
- Email support@bookstaken.com with account details or talk with our consultant
- Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
- Child retains access to downloaded materials
6. User Conduct and Responsibilities
Parent Responsibilities:
- Ensure child's device has stable internet connection
- Supervise child's participation when needed
- Provide accurate emergency contact information
- Monitor child's engagement and progress
- Respect other families' privacy
Child Conduct During Sessions:
- Be respectful to mentors and other children
- Use appropriate language at all times
- Stay focused during reading activities
- Ask for help when needed
- No sharing of personal information with other participants
Prohibited Activities:
- Recording, photographing, or streaming sessions
- Sharing login credentials with others
- Using the platform for any commercial purposes
- Harassment, bullying, or inappropriate behavior
- Accessing other users' accounts or information
7. Platform Rules and Safety
Session Guidelines:
- Sessions are live and cannot be paused or replayed
- Makeup sessions available for technical issues or illness
- Maximum 2 makeup sessions per month
- 24-hour notice required for session changes
Safety Measures:
- All sessions are monitored for quality and safety
- Mentors are background-checked and trained
- Parents can observe any session
- Immediate suspension for inappropriate behavior
Technical Requirements:
- Stable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
- Device with camera and microphone
- Supported browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox (latest versions)
- Quiet environment for session participation
8. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content:
- All educational materials, stories, and activities are owned by Bookstaken
- Parents and children may not copy, distribute, or use content commercially
- Limited personal use permitted for enrolled families only
User Content:
- We do not claim ownership of child's creative work during sessions
- We may use anonymized progress data to improve our services
- Photos/videos require separate consent and are optional
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy.
- We collect minimal data necessary for educational services
- Child safety is our top priority
- All data handling complies with applicable privacy laws
10. Mentor and Staff Standards
Our Commitments:
- All mentors are college-educated with specialized training
- Background checks completed for all staff with child access
- Ongoing training in child development and online safety
- Professional conduct standards maintained at all times
Mentor Responsibilities:
- Create safe, inclusive learning environment
- Provide age-appropriate content and discussions
- Report any safety concerns immediately
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information
11. Platform Availability and Technical Issues
Service Availability:
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance
- Technical issues will be resolved as quickly as possible
Force Majeure:
- We are not liable for service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control
- This includes natural disasters, internet outages, or government restrictions
12. Limitation of Liability
Educational Service:
- Bookstaken is a supplemental educational service, not a replacement for formal education
- We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes
- Results may vary based on individual child engagement and ability
Liability Limits:
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the past 12 months
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- This includes lost profits, data, or business opportunities
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Bookstaken from any claims, damages, or costs arising from:
- Your child's use of the platform
- Violation of these Terms
- Infringement of third-party rights
- Any content posted or shared by your family
14. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law:
- These Terms are governed by Indian law
- Disputes will be resolved in courts of Nagpur, India
Informal Resolution:
- Before legal action, we encourage contacting us to resolve disputes

- We will respond within 5 business days
15. Modifications to Terms
Change Notification:
- We will notify users 30 days before material changes

- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

16. Account Termination
We May Terminate Accounts For:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees

- Providing false information during registration
Upon Termination:
- Access to platform immediately ceases
- No refunds for remaining subscription period (except for our violations)
- Child progress data available for download for 30 days
17. Special Provisions for Minors
Parental Consent:
- All agreements made by parent/guardian on child's behalf
- Parents responsible for child's compliance with Terms
- Parents can terminate child's participation at any time
Child Protection:
- Zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior toward children
- Immediate investigation of any safety concerns
