A Reading Journey That
Grows With Your Child

From building reading habit to exploring diverse genres, deepening thinking, and eventually creating their own story — each child moves through a guided journey supported by a thoughtful 1:1 mentor.

Reading Is Not Just a Skill. It's a Way of Thinking.

In a world of constant distractions and short-form content, deep reading is becoming rare — yet it remains one of the most powerful ways for children to build imagination, empathy, focus, and independent thought.

Our journey is designed to help children experience books not as schoolwork, but as a space for curiosity, reflection, and creativity. We focus on long-term intellectual growth, not speed or pressure.

Every child begins differently

A Personalised Starting Point

Some children are still building the reading habit. Some already love reading but stay within familiar genres. Some are ready for deeper discussions and expression.

We meet each child where they are and guide them forward thoughtfully.

1
🌱 Building the Reading Habit

For children who don't naturally pick up books yet. Reading begins to feel enjoyable and natural rather than forced.

2
🌍 Expanding Across Genres

For children who already read but mostly within familiar books. Broader horizons, richer imagination, and deeper engagement with stories.

3
🧠 Deep Thinking & Expression

For strong readers to go deeper. Independent thinking and confident expression.

The five Stages of the Journey

A structured path that scales with their confidence.

Stage 1- Curious Reader

The Goal: Build Comfort and Interest in reading

Mentors spark curiosity by: sharing intriguing glimpses and story moments, asking engaging questions, helping children feel comfortable with books

Outcome: The child begins reading willingly and consistently.

Stage 2- Genre Explorer

The Goal: Expand horizons across stories and ideas.

Children explore a wide range of genres: fantasy, mystery, mythology, realistic fiction, biographies, adventure

Outcome: Exposure to diverse worlds, Ideas, and perspectives.

Stage 3- Deep Thinker

The Goal: Strengthen thinking, Imagination and expression.

Conversations become richer: discussing character choices, predicting story directions, imagining different outcomes, narrating ideas in their own words

Outcome: Stronger articulation, Imagination, and confidence.

Stage 4- Young Creator

The Goal: Transform exploration into creation

After a child has explored multiple genres and developed confidence in thinking and expression, they unlock the Creator milestone.

Outcome: With guidance from their mentor, The child completes their own mini book — a meaningful reflection of their growth as a reader, thinker, and creator.

Stage 5- Bookstaken Circle

The Goal: Make reading a way of life

Having become confident readers and creators, children now step into an environment designed for continuous growth. With curated books and gentle guidance, they keep exploring, reflecting, and evolving at their own pace.

Outcome: A lifelong reader — curious, consistent, and self-driven.

Signature session moment

Where Stories Turn into Thinking

In the last 10-15 minutes of each session, mentors guide children through short imagination and thinking activities inspired by the book they're reading.

These are not academic exercises — just thoughtful, playful conversations that build deeper thinking.

Activities Include:

Understanding Character Motivations: Why did a character act that way? What could they have done differently?

Exploring moral dilemmas: Was the hero always right? What would you do in their place?

Imagining alternate endings: What if the story ended differently? What if the villain won?

Creative story play: Swapping character roles, pitching new plot twists, or designing alternate worlds.

Connecting stories to life: Relating ideas from books to real-life situations and perspectives.

Children don't just read stories — they learn to question, imagine, and think for themselves.

From Exploring Stories to Creating Their Own

After a child has explored enough books, genres, and ideas, they unlock a meaningful milestone — the Creator Project.

With guidance from their mentor, they:

  • Imagine their own story world
  • create characters
  • structure a short narrative
  • complete their own mini book

They recieve:

  • a beautiful formulatted digital copy
  • original printed version
  • opportunity to be featured in our Young Creaters showcase (with parent permission)

Outcome: A meaningful reflection of their growth as a reader and thinker.

Every Child Moves at Their Own Pace

This is not a fixed curriculum or fast-track program.

Children progress based on: comfort with reading, curiosity, engagement, exploration across genres.

Most families begin noticing stronger reading interest, deeper conversations, and improved expression within the first few months.

The Creator milestone is introduced only when it feels earned and meaningful.

Not a Lecture. A Live Quest.

Each session is designed to feel natural, conversational, and intellectually stimulating — not academic or pressured.

Section Icon
Phase 1:
Riddle & Reflection (5-10 Minutes)
Every session begins with a short riddle or thought-provoking question inspired by stories and ideas.
This is followed by a light check-in conversation.
It immediately activates thinking, imagination, and focus — setting the tone for the session.
Phase 2:
Story Exploration (25-30 Minutes)
A guided discussion around the book the child is reading.
Mentors help children: unpack key moments, understand character motivations, reflect on choices and consequences, explore themes and emotions, articulate their thoughts clearly.
This is not a lecture. It's a conversation that makes books come alive.
Phase 3:
Imagination & Thinking Time (10-15 Minutes)
The final part of each session is dedicated to creative thinking activities inspired by the story.
Examples include: Swapping hero and villain roles, Designing an alternate ending, Debating a moral dilemma, Creating riddles based on the story, Narrating from another character’s perspective, Connecting the story to real life, Solving character-based crosswords or puzzles
These playful exercises strengthen imagination, reasoning, and expression — without feeling academic.

Never ask "How was class?" again.

You know the feeling. You ask about their day, and you get a one-word answer: 'Fine.' We change that.

"Hi Anjali! 👋 Just finished a great session with Rahul."

🌟 The Win: I loved how he argued that the Villain wasn't 'evil,' just 'lonely.' That was such a mature observation!

📖 We Covered: Emotional motivations in Chapter 4.

🗣️ Ask him at dinner: Ask him 'Why did the Wolf lie?' He has a crazy theory about it that I think he'd love to tell you.

See you next week!"

A Calm, Meaningful Journey Through Books

Not tuition. Not pressure. Just the right guidance to help your child build a lifelong relationship with reading and thinking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this different from tutoring or English classes?
Tutoring teaches grammar and comprehension for exams. We build critical thinking and confidence through 1-on-1 book discussions with college mentors. Your child learns to think independently, not memorize answers.
Q: My child doesn't like reading. will this work?
Most children don't hate reading—they hate boring books and being tested on them. We pick books based on their interests (sports, adventure, mystery) and make reading feel like a conversation with a cool older sibling, not homework.
Q: will my child actually complete books?
Yes. We read together during sessions (20 min reading + 40 min discussion), so there's no "homework pressure." Most books are completed in 4-6 weekly sessions, and children often ask to read ahead because they're genuinely curious.
Q: How do you ensure my child's safety with online mentors?
Every mentor is a verified college student from Tier 1 institutions, rigorously interviewed for empathy and communication. All sessions are on Zoom (recorded for quality), and you receive WhatsApp updates after every session.
